Hello everyone and welcome to my RUclips channel :-)
If you like watching Subaru's go off road, then this channel is for you! Featured in this channel are self-made videos of my 2002 Subaru Outback H6 3.0L doing a bit of off roading.
This is a real hobby for me. This car is my daily drive and spends working week carving its way through traffic here in Sydney, Australia. However, once the weekend arrives, it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to get out of town and take this car off road. There are amazing landscapes to be discovered in Australia and the scenery is amazing once you get off the tarmac.
My car has had mild modifications to make it more off road capable. It has good underbody ground clearance, however its limitations are its front and rear overhangs, as well as lack of low range gearing. Nevertheless, I take it as far as I can possibly go and its great fun to get this car on the dirt and furthermore, I get a fulfillment from the challenges of driving off road.

Subaru Outback Off Road (Australia)
Here is a video compilation of my Subaru Outback going off road on some journey's I've had over the past couple of months. Some footage featured filmed using GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition. The car is a 2002 Outback H6 3.0L fitted with a lift kit and all-terrains.
There's some good bits in there, a few bumps and scrapes and also some laughs.
I'm fortunate enough to live in what I think is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Exploring small parts of it in a car that I love has made it that much better.

Outback H6 3.0L Varex Muffler + 2.5" inch exhaust

XForce Varex muffler and 2.5"inch exhaust. Fitted to Outback H6 3.0L. The muffler has a controllable butterfly valve which enables it to be quiet (when closed) and loud (when open). All controlled via a remote in the cabin.

I was aiming for the Cox's River that day however very heavy winds meant that within 30-minutes, I came across what would have been the first of many fallen trees. 24th March 2012 Stockton Beach sand dune driving in my Subaru Outback. A leisurely day out with the family taking in the sights and atmosphere of this amazing place.Footage was recoreded using my GoPro HD Motorsports Hero II mounted on car via suction cup mount.

Any 90s Subaru with the 1.8L or 2.2L engines was a fantastic car. My stepmother bought nothing else. She had a 1990 Legacy L wagon 5spd manual. Such a well-made and lovely car. I haven't seen one on the road in a very long time. I miss them so much.
I still daily drive an EJ18 Impreza and I have for over 10 years! Love 'em. I have a 91 Legacy wagon with the EJ22 as well. :D

@@palebeachbum My first daily was an early 90s Legacy EJ22 as well, and my first car that I actually owned was a 1996 Impreza with the EJ22. I still have it, just sadly in terrible condition, hahaha.

I was going to take my well maintained 1999 Subaru Forester on the beach here in Australia NSW today, my daughter sitting next to me said, no!, I am not going to sit on the beach bogged, lets park the car in the car park and go for a swim, it would be so much more fun.

I enjoyed seeing this incredible off-road footage with the Subie H6. That is one capable car! I have an almost identical 2003 which I intend to lift and re-boot (research ongoing). There's so much to consider to avoid fucking up a decent car. You intrepid chaps out there feeding back the info' is very much appreciated. Jolly good form!...

Are those 215/60/17 tires? Did they rub at all? Do you think they might without a lift? Thanks.

currently trying to convince the missr's to go on a little offroad journey but im not liking my chances, it seems your outback does it pretty well considering its virtually stock. very much enjoyed :) some quick details of our rig since everyone wants to share - '99 bh9 , original engine and second top end rebuild, light bar and decent stereo is all it has to offer, most comfortable car i've ever driven.

Love my 1980 Subaru GL Wagon (I still have it and runs like new). Have owned 4 outbacks -1997, 2005, 2011, and 2017 . With a set of Blizzak WS80's the Outback is the Winter driving champ!
head gaskets. I own a 2001 Subaru Forester and it has a 2 inch lift and muddies and it recently did a head gasket whilst off-road :(
I bought a 03 h4 outback about 6 months ago had 60k original miles , I really like the car, practical and reliable
I thought I will like a 2005 H6 Outback more than my old Legacy 1998 when I bought it.But now I am not sure.The old Legacy was a monster.The Outback is still reliable machine,but....
I agree, i never had an H6, i REALLY want to swap someday, but I had a 96 outback, then an 04 outback, and i missed my 96, i had a couple other cars, and now i have a 96 outback again, i think its one of the ultimate cars, as far as utility and general purpose. But now i miss my Miata!!!

This subarus were ok but after 70 thousand milles you were in russian rulet the broke all the time.
The ones in the usa were garbage the engines head gaskets went all the time.
Fixed on later models but was an issue. Uneven cooling or something
Hi mate. Just wondering what brand ATs you have and did you ever have the 225/60/17s on stock height? Any rubbing? They're a tad bigger than the 215/65/16, which I thought we the biggest circumference you could fit) so was thinking of doing this with my 03 H6. Cheers
